Legal Entity Identifier (“LEI”)

Since the Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 on Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) on 3 July 2016 and the the Regulation (EU) No. 600/2014 on Markets in Financial Instruments (MiFIR) as of 3 January 2018 came into force, the respective stock exchanges are obliged to transmit daily reference data for all traded securities. In addition to certain securities and application-related data, the respective reference data reports provide for the mandatory reporting of a legal entity identifier ("LEI") of the issuer. Furthermore, this reference data will be used as the basis for transaction data reporting as part of the implementation of MiFID II/MiFIR from January 2018.

In this context, Deutsche Börse AG has defined the LEI as a mandatory requirement for inclusion. A corresponding provision has been included in the General Terms and Conditions of Deutsche Börse AG for the Regulated Unofficial Market.
