New bond ETF from UBS on Xetra: access to the Japanese government bond market

Since Monday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by UBS Asset Management has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.


The UBS ETF (LU) Bloomberg Japan Treasury 1-3 Year Bond UCITS ETF tracks the performance of the Bloomberg Global Japan Treasury 1-3 Year Index. Investors will gain access to Japanese government bonds denominated in local currency with a remaining maturity of at least one year and less than three years. 

The bonds are investment grade fixed income securities with a minimum outstanding volume of JPY 500 million. Currently, 48 bonds are included in the reference index. 

Interest income is reinvested.
